We rely on our liver disease research platform, professional technical team, and independently developed liver disease mouse models to provide experimental services based on our infectious and metabolic liver disease models. With more than twenty years of project experience accumulation, Weitongda can undertake various liver (disease) efficacy evaluation services, including liver-targeted drugs for humanized liver mice, drug metabolism evaluation, and research on viral liver diseases infected with HBV, HCV, HEV, etc. In addition, we also provide related research services for liver injury/fibrosis (hardening) and liver cancer.

VitalStar has successfully established HBV, HCV, HDV, HEV infection models on its self-developed humanized liver mouse model, and can provide mouse models of these hepatitis viruses. Meanwhile, Vitonda, as a company with an ABSL-2 laboratory, can undertake in vivo or in vitro virological studies and antiviral drug screening and evaluation services.

VitalStar has independently developed modifiable mouse liver damage models URG, NPG-Fah with B6-Tet UPA and B6-Fah, as well as HBV-Tg+CCL4 liver fibrosis and cirrhosis mouse models, based on which it has served many CROs and scientific research clients for drug screening, efficacy assessment and toxicity studies, assisting in the research and development of new medicines and personalized therapeutic solutions.

Hu-URG is a humanized liver mouse model established by Vitalstar, with a human hepatocyte replacement rate of up to 90%. These human hepatocytes maintain a normal gene expression profile within the mouse body, preserving the regular functions of human liver cells. The model not only possesses targets unique to human liver cells but also ensures that the target proteins are within a fully functional regulatory network. There is no incompatibility between the target genes and their upstream and downstream regulatory elements, as might be the case in humanized models. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for the screening and evaluation of liver-targeted drugs.

Hu-URG is a humanized liver mouse model established by Vitalstar, created by transplanting primary human hepatocytes into URG mice with inducible liver injury. The replacement rate of human hepatocytes can reach 90%, meaning that human hepatocytes become the majority in the chimeric mouse liver and maintain the normal functions of human liver cells, expressing genes related to drug metabolism. In practical applications, they exhibit drug metabolism characteristics that are distinct from mice and closer to humans. Therefore, Hu-URG can be effectively used for the in vivo study of drug metabolism in new drug research.
