General information
Development
In the severely immunodeficient mouse NPG, the CRISPR/Cas9 technology was used to mutate the 831st amino acid of the c-kit protein from lysine to methionine. This strain lacks T, B, and NK cells, and at the function of hematopoietic stem cells is suppressed.
This strain can accept human hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplantation without radiation, making it an excellent model for human hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
NPG-RF mice applications
1. No radiation required for HSC transplantation, studying human blood and immune system development.
2. Research on human infectious diseases.
3. Anti-tumor research.
4. Research related to red blood cell diseases such as thalassemia.
